WELCOME TO SAFE LETTERS
Safe Letter is a venting box in which a person can write about how they feel and safely put it in the box without worrying about people knowing or seeing. Each box has a lock, and certified adults have the keys. Write a letter, and if you want a response make sure to put your name, and do not worry. Your name will stay anonymous if you do not want to be contacted. They can give multiple resources that someone can use. This opportunity to vent about what's happening is one of the most significant opportunities.
About Us!

Hi! My name is Sydney Kammerud I am a senior in High School, and my plans after high school is to go to college and either double major in education and social work with a minor in special education or majoring in criminal justice and minoring in pre-psych. I strongly believe in helping people which is why this project is such a beautiful thing to me, I know how it feels to not have someone to talk to and not be able to reach out without feeling you are bombarding them, having the opportunity like this to be able to go and write what you are feeling so you will be able to get it off your chest, having this can help someone just vent about what they are going through and what their headspace is like and how it can affect you. I am incredibly proud of how far this has gone and how people are now able to share without feeling like someone is watching and judging

I’m Kloey Points, a senior at Osceola High School. My interests are working with animals and hanging out with family and friends. I chose to do Why Wait to make a change in high schools worldwide. There are so many bullying, mental health, and stigma issues around teenagers these days that lead to harmful assumptions and a lack of support for those who are suffering. We're all trying to figure out how to deal with life problems in the modern world, and as someone who struggles with manic depression, it’s safe to say I feel a lot better when letting it go on paper, so that’s what I want to do. I’m choosing to move forward with our project, Safe Letters, to let people know, through writing and support, that they aren’t alone in the dark.
Ways you can cope! and how they help
